National Day of Prayer - NEVADA

National Day of Prayer - NEVADA

National Day of Prayer is observed May 3, 2007, the first Thursday in May, by an act of Congress.

We pray for His blessing to keep on reminding our countrymen of the debt of thanks we owe to God. We ask the faithful to stand in the gap to pray for our nation and for peace among nations. Please contact us to join the work of Uniting America in Prayer.

We'd love to hear from those in Nevada who are bringing churches and communities together in prayer. We'd be pleased to announce communal prayer related activities across Nevada. Coordinators are needed in each county. Perhaps God is calling you to pray.

To become actively involved with National Day of Prayer, please contact Ginny Rommel, State Coordinator, at 702-23-5381 or 702-524-2590 (cell) or email vdouglas-rommel@cox.net.

National Day of Prayer - NEVADA: The Coordinators Conference in Colorado Springs, CO

The Coordinators Conference in Colorado Springs featured The Lion and the Lamb. We heard the testimony of a converted Muslim terrorist and we heard Claude King's plea for the churches to repent of division, repair broken fellowship and come back to the table with pure hearts. Having been a part of the conference there is no way not to take seriously the call to prayer. This year's theme is Unite America.

For Nevada I am thinking Unite Nevada and Prepare Nevada's churches to serve their community in disaster and distress by linking with Community Emergency Response Training, volunteer training and cooperation with Salvation Army, Red Cross and other First Responder groups.

Watch this blog for announcements as God leads Nevadans to pray and serve. Let us know what you are planning and how we can work together. NOT FOR A SINGLE EVENT BUT FOR CONTINUOUSLY LIVING THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IN OUR HOME COMMUNITIES. Like Nehemiah's builders, the weapons of love and prayer in one hand, and tools for building community in the other.
