Faith In Action

Unite to Pray; Connect to Serve
The National Day of Prayer Nevada is reaping the harvest of prayers sown through the years.
We have new partnerships with the City sponsored Community Interfaith Council and the Media Fellowship Las Vegas Chapter. This Faith in Action connection is stretching Christians to grow in serving the community. On Jan. 20 volunteers painted a mile and a half of graffitti embellished walls in a neighborhood known for crime. On Jan 31 a Pastor in West Las Vegas is calling on Christians to join him to stand against gang violence and murder.
In Prayer we hear: these invitations call upon us to OBEY as good citizens and Samaritans!
When we pray we prepare to be called to serve: that is the lesson for NDP coordinators in Nevada! We have our eye on May 3 observances and the doors are opening but our boots are on the ground to serve our city while we call Christians to prayer; the city calls us to Action!
Our City Wide Prayer team continues to pray for the five points of power in Las Vegas. In response we are called into action increasingly. We are discovering marvellous opportunites such as TIPS www.tipnational.org will provide information that your community might need.
