There is no one else like you, our God, the Lord Jesus Christ! You deserve the glory and the honor! With a few hundred obedient servants You, our God, can bring Nevada under the shield of your care. The North and the South were united on May 1 even though there was some opposition to having a Christian National Day of Prayer on government property.
First Lady Dawn Gibbons read the Proclamation at the Grant Sawyer State Building in the same hour that Governor Jim Gibbons read the Proclamation at the State Capitol in Carson City. According to Coordinators Pastor Dave Goodale for the Capitol event in the north and Virginia Rommel in the South, both events were blessed with wonderful music and Spirit filled prayers of repentance and intercession for our local, state, and national leaders in the seven shperes of power: Government, Military, Media, Schools, Church and Family. About 100 people attended each Capitol event and enjoyed encouraging messages by Senator Maurice Washington in the North and by Richard Ziser in the South.
We'll get back to share new photos soon! Look for more reports from two dozen Nevada NDP events. People are looking forward to "next year" so put it on your calendar!

Bound4Life and the Call: Mercy Seat Project 4/26
"When there is shedding of blood there must be atonement for the land" Lou Engle writes in his call to gather at Supreme Courts across the nation for a vigil of silent prayer of repentance Saturday April 26. "We want to be intercessors for America as God's friends who call God to remember andhold back His hand of judgement and show mercy." www.Bound4Life.com
Ruth Graham said, "If God does not judge America He must apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah. Lou says "If God judges America then the Church will have to apologize to USA."
How many women are weeping for one child among 50 million innocents slain since Roe v Wade? What secret loads of grief and shame are carried through broken lives? Is there no connectin betweeen parents slaughtering innocents and young boys shooting other children in our cities? "A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentaion, weeping, and great mourning. Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more." (Mt 2:18)
That's why a carload of women from Las Vegas will take a late night journey this weekend to stand in vigil before the Nevada Supreme Court on Saturday, April 26.
How fortunate to have this call so that Thursday, May 1, may be a day of unity and optimistic faith that God will hear and answers our prayers for our nation and our communities!

Pray for Fernley's Residents
GOVERNOR GIBBONS DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR LYON COUNTY
DATE: January 5, 2008
Fernley,Nevada— Following an assessment of the levee breach and flooded areas, Governor Jim Gibbons declared a State of Emergency at 2:00 p.m. PST for Lyon County.
Currently, state, local, and federal agencies continue to work together to ensure that residents are safely relocated and receiving any needed assistance.
The State of Nevada contacted FEMA early this morning following notification of the levee breach. FEMA immediately deployed emergency resources to Northern Nevada. Due to inclement weather, FEMA expects to arrive at Fallon Naval Air Station within the next 12 hours with food, blankets, bedding, and other emergency supplies. The Nevada National Guard will oversee the disbursement of the supplies.
“Our number one priority is ensuring the safety and security of the Fernley resident’s effected by the levee breach. Assistance from surrounding communities, statewide first responders, businesses, residents, and the federal government has been outstanding. We continue to work diligently to ensure that local residents have the supplies and assistance they need until they can safely return to their homes,” said Governor Jim Gibbons.
The state Emergency Operations Center will continue to monitor the flooding and is working closely with FEMA and local agencies to ensure that the needs of displaced residents are being met.
“Again, we continue to utilize all state, local, and federal resources to provide the utmost safety to the community of Fernley,” Governor Gibbons added.

Events popping up all over for May 1, 2008
Building on 2007 and all that has gone before, we are anticipating an amazing time in Nevada on the National Day of Prayer. We welcome wholeheartedly the participation of our Governor, First Lady, Military leaders and other faithful leaders in GOVERMENT, MEDIA, MILITARY, SCHOOLS, BUSINESS, CHURCHES, FAMILY in this important election year. May the Lord guide us in voting into office people of integrity and wisdom.
